Viet Asia’s dishes has something in common, they are all made from freshest ingredients. All plain and simple, it’s up to you on how you can play with flavors. You may use the dressings that comes withe each dish or mix it with sriracha or other sauces to add some twist.
See the run down below of what we sampled during our #zomatobffoodcrawl at Viet Asia:
We were greeted by Vietnamese Iced Coffee (P120), just perfect for the scorching weather while we’re on our way to the restuarant. The coffee was smooth and creamy.
We had Spring Roll (P200) and Egg Roll (180) as a start up dishes. The main difference between a spring roll and egg roll is that spring roll have thin, often translucent wrappers and usually not fried, while the egg roll have thicker, deep-fried wrappings.
Among the two, I’ll go for the egg roll, because its filling was very tasty, then dip them with the sauce on the side.
Vietnamese food specialize in providing complex tastes that emphasize freshness and balance in flavors. The Green Papaya and Pomelo Salad (P220) is a great example of it, shrimp, papaya, herbs and pomelo drizzled with a sweet and tangy dressing.
Eventhough Grilled Pork Meat Ball Vermicelli Noodle (P290) and Bbq Pork and Eggroll Vermicelli Noodle (P300) comes with a meat, still it’s lighter as expected as it is served with vermicelli noodles and fresh herbs. Have it with nước chấm sauce because it makes everything better.
Garlic Noodle (P220), a must try dish in Viet Asia. Al dente pasta with a strong garlic punch. Add some sriracha for extra spice!
Viet Asia has an open kitchen where you can see how your food was meticulously being prepared. They have limited seats but nothing to worry as they can also cater your parties by placing your order in advance.
We had the Mango Sticky Rice(220) this dish makes a great dessert, breakfast or even for snack. The sticky rice is perfectly cooked so it’s soft yet retain a good bite, and not mushy. Served with freshly cut mango cubes. It’s such a great delight!
