Pelagio Bar and Restaurant, another foodie hub discovery at Festival Mall. We didn’t know that this Mex-Fil Resto exist along the Water Garden of the mall. It maybe unnoticeable but once the entrance along Landmark area opens to the public, this will be the next tambayan or hang out place of south people, just like us.
Pelagio gave a filipino twist to your usual Mexican dishes. For the love of cookinng , Chef Pelagio (where the resto got its name) infused Filipino known dishes like pork sisig, chicken adobo and bistek to your all time favorite nachos, quesadillas and burritos. Paired it with guacamole or even salted egg, their best seller dips so far.
His dishes would sooth your hungry soul as everything is made to perfection. The corn tortilla, chips, salsa and even dips are all homemade by Chef Pelagio. He wanted to make sure that every customers deserves a value for their money but coming up with delicious dishes that every Filipino would love.
Eventhough grilled liempo is something common for me, still it does not gave me a reason to passed on this one. So juicy and flavorful, the pico de gallo added a nice taste to this meal especially when paired with rice. This can also be perfect as “pulutan” as Pelagio also serves alcoholic drinks like margarita, mojito, pina colada and many more.
I never tried my burrito with pork sisig before and this one is match-made for me as I’m a fan of sisig. One serving is good enough to make you full. Add some Salsa Pimiento (medium spicy) to gave it a little kick on your taste bud.
Wash it all away with Agua Frescas, one glass will gave you a refreshing feeling after. Again, everything is made fresh even with these drinks.
Pelagio will give you a relaxing vibe at it is set up as Al fresco dining, it is also open until 11PM. Perfect for your late night cravings. Take note they do not have service charge which is a plus factor!
